100/%  acrylic shag pile rug .
has anybody any sucess cleaning these as it says do not clean by
water ! lady wants me to clean it ?
any b4 and after would help

Hi Vanguard,

I've cleaned these carpets in the past and got good results with HWE.

Cannot see why water is not recommended as Acrylic has good water resistance e.g dralon

Major problem is removing all the debris that gets caught in the pile.

Beat it from behind and beat the c**p out of it first, literally!!!! HWE afterwards, should be fine, done at least half a dozen this way!  ;D
