been looking more and more at the thermo systems but am reluctant to part with the sort of cash that ionic charge for these systems as i feel its to much so was wondering if there are alternatives on the market?
-
I think Tony at essentially pure was looking into making one??

Hi
you can buy add on kits that will produce hot water but not cheap £1000. 00 from omnipole basicaly a hot shower unit 3lpm
regards grant
-
is that a diesel unit or electric do you know?
-
Why do you want a thrmo system, the only person i know that has one said that by the time the water reaches the end of the pole oin witnter its cold.

first cleans are suppose to save time, warm hands on cold days, good for periodic cleans with less effort.
Surely its hot if its going straight through the burner and up the pole isn't it?
-

Its a diesel one if my memory serves me correctly??? I use a Thermopure, great on first cleans, but very expensive new!!
-
its just the burner though ain't it thats whats different to all other systems, i think i found the perfect unit to add on to my systems but got to find out the price on monday when the place opens so hopefully not to expensive
-
Its a Webasto heater, the same i think that they put in lorrys for the night heaters. Its the same principal runs off the van diesel tank so no seperate filling!
-
crikey! the one i found is around £1500 :o.
do you know the webasto part number at all? see if its cheaper and what spec is?
-
Hi mate
the omnipole ones run on bottle gas you can also buy similar and same model direct fro the company in a merica not htat expensive to run
I rigged up a trial one using a caravan hot water heater also run on gas it was rather old could not get required lpm but the new ones will give you correct lpm you must have them fitted correctly as they need to be correctly vented
the onipole ones I think can run as long as back doors are open can put a lot of vapour into the van
It was good on first clean but that was the only advantage I could see
ring omni for full info

This is what omnipole sell, Zodi Hot Tap it runs on propaine.
http://www.portablewaterheater.com/web-content/Consumer/zodihottaphpshower.html
you can take it anywere (good for commercial) have the hot supply straight at the bottom of the pole.
im 99% sure its omnipoles one but alot cheaper obviously, I distinctly remember seing it on that "website" of theres not sure if they have sorted that site out yet but I never had any joy on it same with Pure20!!

wow! they are a lot cheaper ain't they? the only reservations i'd have is firstly i would like a unit they can be bolted on to my steel cages, carrying propane gas on my van i don't like the sound of :o in case i go BOOM! and the diesel burners that run off your vans tank are more intergrated and less mucking about should just switch straight on. I've got a few more resources i'm gonna try tomorrow about prices on these burners to see what price i can get i down to.
-
Pro, not sure if this is that site or the other one.

;D ;D ;D Not impressed with that one either mate.
GLYN SORT THE SITE OUT!!
-

should fit too most systems its installed by webasco but they are not cheap and they run of the diesil

The trouble with running a 'Hot Tap' (shower) unit (omnipole supply them) is that you can't heat the water directly to your pole because the water to the burner once ignited has to be kept running otherwise when you stop poling the heater will overheat and blow your hoses apart like mine did. The only way you can do it is to heat the water by means of circulation from the tank via the propane boiler back into the water tank. Also it is highly recommended that the propane boiler is used in an open unconfined space outside the vehicle. Also it is very hazardous to carry a large propane tank inside your vehicle. Personally I would look at fitting a diesel heater unit like 'Webasto' or Eberspacher' for safety and security resons. I have a complete reconditioned Eberspacher D5W night storage heater unit in mint working order which I plan on selling if someone is prepared to offer me £500ono for it as I no longer use it as I have fitted an indirect boiler into my van and plan to connect 2 water solar panels to it.

I Like one of the systems that Andrews water uses a LRG imersion heater into the holding tank gives you warm water to start the day with..
I tryed the cheaper version a Wickes imershion heater in the van tank for a couple of hrs before I started, Increased TDS to about 9 but generally worked well in so far as it alowed me to start as usual on the really cold FREEZING days and TDS did not give me any comeback
PS Southern Comfort also slurrs the fingers when typing...

was only looking at the diesel heaters as mentioned in earlier posts
is that the Hydronic 5 you have for sale?

Whats the point of working on a day when the water will freeze
can cause slips on the ground.
Why cause extra hassle for yourself?
T
-
be careful where you walk then! :)
-
I am not talking of oneself.Customers tend to be drawn to
either hoses that will trip or water to slip on!
Even if you take all precautions they still make accidents happen ;)

so we have to stop working because we may spray a touch of water on a path? just be careful were you spray! i dunno if its me but when i leave a house there is only minimal water at the bottom of brick wall/windows were rinsing has taken place. not enough to create an ice rink accross footways. if we were that over cautious we would never work through the winter would we?

True ;D

Hello SteveAqua,
Unfortunately it's not. It's the previous version. It's in immaculate condition, it works well and if you're still interested you're welcome to make me a sensible offer

do you know the spec? ie max output? does it have different heat settings and what the ltr per hour is?
any info would be cool
Cheers mate

I'll dig out all the info for you and post it tomorrowas I have to go out in a mo. I know it's a 5kw. It has 2 heat settings and initially runs on the higher diesel output and higher heat setting until a certain temperature has been reached then it runs on minimal diesel on the lower heat setting automatically.
-
sounds cool, you can email me details if you like when you get near them, does it have all the relevant parts, ie exaust and hooking up to diesel tank etc...
