I have a stinker at the mo too.
Guess it comes down to your own level of motivation.
If its your business and you need to earn then there is more
to gain by going to work and earning the £'s.
Of course your punters might not like you sneezing and wheezing all over them!
Your choice mate.
I'm off to work!

The joy's of being self employed!
No work, No Money :(
Personally I would go to work with colds, flu etc unless I really didn't feel safe in myself?
Best wishes,
Trev

Go and get a job in local government, if some one sneezes within thirty yards of you you can have a week off on sick.

if im ill in the summer, i generally go in if i feel ill. But in the winter, when its cold, i tend to stay in a bit more when i feel ill. Just because if you push your self too much when its cold, you could end up even worse. I would prefer to take a day or two off, and feel better, than to work for a week feeling like crap.

Well if I'm ill, I usually make the effort. It may mean just doing maybe three hours but at least I tried and earned something.

I think if you're unwell, you should take a day-or-two off to recuperate. In my opinion, it stops you from getting worse; then being forced to take a longer period of time off work.
A stitch in time saves nine, as they say.
Saying that, in twenty years of working life, I've only ever had about 10 days off work through proper sickness; although I've had a few off due to hang-overs.
I'm always healthy and I think the 'Big Man' is saving up a big one for me; cancer or something!

Almost certainly.
...just responding for the half dozen people you've said that to.... ;D

If you have really got flu...
You won't be able to work, no matter how hard you try!
You "men" think you have flu..
Real influenza will stop you in your tracks completely, laying you out flat for a week. You will need another week to recover at least, if not more! If it doesn't finish you like that, believe me, it is not flu.
Flu can kill you. A cold won't.

A bit under the weather? Keep going.
Feeling rough? Start Late/Finish early
Really ill? Take the day off and the next day you start late and finish early and then the one after that keep going.
