Cleaned a wool carpet this morning. Customer got it second hand from her mother when hers was replaced by the insurance company (it had a stain that could not be removed by their franchise 'technician').
Guess what, the stain came out! ;D ;D ;D

This is the problem with not having professional training in leather and understanding what can happen and how to resolve problems like that.
Testing leather type before you begin is crucial using the five leather tests.
We had a problem to resolve recently which turned out to be a 4 tone leather! This was only identifiable with the use of microscopes and a lot of testing. The top 2 coats were just cleaning off adn we had to find a way of replacing them.
Unfortunately a lot of the franchise technicians are only given minimal training (if any) and then they wonder why they have problems.
The actual cleaning process of leather is very straightforward but this just serves to demonstrate why you need to know much more than that.
