Title: Fixing points on citroen dispatch???
Post by: mark dew on October 10, 2006, 08:25:37 pm
Does anyone know where or how to attach ratchet straps in the back of a dispatch??
I have pulled the ply-lined floor up and can't see anything in the floor at all. ???
I want to put in a 250ltr tank for the time being.
cheers

gary, how much does it cost to get that done?
I was hoping to be able to work with 250ltr tank for a couple of weeks until i saved up.
I like the look at your tank though and would like to put a 400 ltr tank in the back when i've got some money.

can get his number if you need it

1 of the good points about the brackets in the picture if you look closley is the front angled section which gives it extra safety and strengh , if you have someone do it for you make sure they add that bit .

the ones in my van are for a 400ltr upright tank they are i think all the same size
if you are going to get someone to fabricate the brackets then you will need the tank first

When using straps to secure to floor, make sure the floor brackets are made of stainless steel ( no rusting)

Check what your van can carry, you need to take into account your tank an fixings say 50kg, your water 450 litres + 450kils, your self and your matey if you have you have on and all your tools.

When fixing dont just pop a bolt a bolt through the floor pan, it needs to be fixed to a secure point, just take a look at the mountings for a seat belt, they a reinforced and they only have to stop a body, not 450 kgs of water.

THINK BEFORE YOU DRILL BEFORE YOU FIX.
