Title: has anyone cleaned an indoor bowling green
Post by: Patti on October 09, 2006, 04:06:38 pm
Hi Guys,
Need your help again. The local leisure centre has an indoor bowling green and we have been asked to clean it. It isn't really carpet, looks more like a heavy woven fabric. Has anyone done anything like this before? We are worried it might go wavy - if you know what I mean. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I cleaned one a few years ago with HWE, I don't remember what I used, but think it was probably One Step

Came up fine, without corrugating.

Hi Patti,

Not sure of construction but would be thermoplastic so I would HWE at lowish temp, say 40 C.

Vac well and prespray well, should be fine .

Cheers

Doug

Hi Patti,

There obviously must be companies that manufacture these. I would contact one for advice and guidance on recommended cleaning procedures. if you cause any damage to the surface you are looking at a potentally very expensive insurance claim.

Regards,

Adam

Thanks Doug and Adam for advice.

I am really not sure about doing this now. The flooring is woven, like a fabric. I have emailed a manufacturer for advice but so far they haven't replied. The money is good but I might leave well alone, I don't want to risk it. Thanks for everything guys. :)
