Hi everyone are those Teflon glide lips any good that they advertise on ebay for £9.99. Has anyboby tried these i relise they are not the proper glides that go for stupid money but surely they must still work to a certain extent?

Hi Matt
I bought some a few months ago, the same time as I bought a set of genuine greenglides, they are better than nothing, but not as good as greenglides, makes the wand much easier to push and does stop the wand skipping as it does on some carpets, I put mine on a 2"tube 11" prochem wand but could only fit one on the rear as the opening would be virtually closed with both of them on.
Hope this helps

Matt,
Dave Ingram, posted some useful advice on glides on another forum and i'm sure when he reads this he'll give a reply on here aswell.

Matt I have never used the Lips as they are called so I can not comment on have they perform. To date I have used Green glides and Harris glides though they are dearer to buy than lips they are well worth it if your using a T/M . Here is a rug I cleaned yesterday, without the use of a glide on my T/M the rug would be still damp today. As you can see within the hour the dog had placed himself nicely in the sun for an afternoon knap. ;D

Dave how long have you been using that turbo blower on your van as an exhaust ? Does it make it go any faster up hill? ;D
-
Paul that's not my van, it was some guy who came down with another to have a T/M fitted.
Those on here that are familiar with essex will know who's dog that is in the picture ;)
