I was amazed to come accross a new entry in e'bay
M'POWER the next generation etc, £69 plus £5 postage to anywhere in the UK
Why would a supplier of commercial products wish to sell to the general public, Is this to be followed by adverts for DIY cleaning machine, at only £3000
If I were looking at this from an anatytical point of view, I'd assume it to be a desperate measure to generate cash flow, but maybe I'm being cynical.

Sales must be slow :o

That's what I was thinking

i guess its cost them alot to develop, they looking to earn as much as poss from it now.
poor sods took a battering on this forum recently.
-
Not too sure about development costs. This is normally borne by the manufacturer. IT's quite easy to have a chemical manufacturer make up and label products to your requirements, or just re label an existing product.
If the new M product is as good as it's claimed, I would be happy to buy it, but I'm not prepared to gamble £60 or so, just to trial something that MIGHT be better than the rest.

Fair comment, but the lack of a moderately priced sample will stop a lot of curious people from trying the product.
In spite of the hostility - which I agree, is OTT - most would give any new product a fair trial and become users, if it delivered!
My post about the e'bay listing, was put up, because I am genuinely shocked that a new product with such powerful claims, should be made available to the general public.
The trade would be easily won over, by demonstrating the product, openly and confidently.
Attractive site

Restormate have a limited number of free samples of Nemesis available
-
So how do we get these free samples steve?
Geoff

If you phone Nick at Solutions up he will sell it in 1 ltrs to try.
Also to be fair many cleaning company's advertise on ebay, because they know cc's use ebay, thats why at the moment there are prochem products on there and others.
Glad you like think its attractive, I designed the Solutions sites and many more for other cleaning company's

I would have thought anyone who has £60 could ring solutions up and buy some M-Power either the general public or a company why should it make a difference?
if Solutions want to use EBay as part of their marketing I can't see anything wrong with it, I can think or 3 other companies who also sell carpet cleaning stuff on EBay

Ps Mark posted while I was typing

Contact John on 0191 2169291 for your FREE sample

True. I'd try the product but I don't want to pay £60 (Or £30 for a sample) only to find it doesn't work.
If free samples were available I'd try it and if it works I'd almost certainly buy it.

Don't see what the problem is.
Marketing is marketing surely. Get it into as many places as possible.
Never saw these comments from the forums about the other companies when they advertise on ebay cleansmart for example!
And Steve are you on commission or something cos it would seem you have a stutter and as for a comment like sales must be slow what about your friend john kelly are his sales slow too cos seem to remember his stuff being on EBAY a couple of times too!
Cheers Goron
Ps.
If you are fortunate enough to have built a good reputible company, be careful because as of others have found there is always somebody waiting to stab you in the back. Must be down to jealousy or something

Goron no commission just a good product at a reasonable price.Yes I believe John sells his water tanks on ebay. These forums only reach a small audience so it is another marketing tool your quite right. The remark I made was a flippant remark which got the reaction everyone is going on about people defending solutions.Been there got the t-shirt :-*

When you have found a product that is just brilliant, it's good to tell the world, however it does seam to me, that some people get particuarly upset when a product is criticised, same goes for machines as well, " my machine could out clean your machine"
And it is this reaction that is a little bit disconcerting, let face it if you are sure of your position you don't need to defend it, and are more likely to answer critics with the benifits.
I had never used Micro spliters until I bought a bottle from the "next to me scotchcare company" so not even from a suppiler, and the only reason for that was because they said " give this a go it works a treat on loads of things!" Heck they where right, now I always have some on the vans.
My point being that I had been put off trying micro splitters in the past reading some of the quotes here. And certainly am very suspicious of any product that make big claims. Having said that, I'm going to have a look on ebay and see what the fuss is all about!
MPOWER is'nt that a BMW thing? will my machine have a faster 0-60 and bucket seats?

Goron, Steve Gunn does not work for me, has never been asked or coerced to promote my products. He is a customer. In fact only yesterday he was actively advising someone else on this forum to become a competitor.
If certain people have an issue with other suppliers and they want to vent their feelings via these forums then that is up to them.
I would be obliged if you would keep my name out of it....I have never entered into making any disparaging comments about any other supplier or products... unlike some. This is a small industry and some people are only too happy to pass on comments & remarks made to them or what they have overheard... it always gets back to the person concerned.

Keep an eye on the other forum as you may find Goron getting a Solution Directorship soon ;D
-
Well I shall be ringing john tommorow ,
cant wait ti try the nemesis

John
Didn't say anything out of order just used the fact that you use ebay to sell your products.
Paul would love to be a director of solutions but sadly i'm not and am not likely to be as.

Its £20.00 for a sample, its hardly a gamble is it! ???
Phil

I would Never pay for a sample, nor would any proper firm. similarly proper suppliers do not charge for samples.
I dont suppose you'd see the likes of Prochem or Hydramaster selling on e bay neither. or charging for samples.
-
Phill, correct £20 is hardly a gamble,
and I for one do not wish to get into any heated debates regarding certain products that work, might work, might not work , or work wonders for that matter.
Having said that, £20 for a sample plus delivery, and no doubt vat is £20 when all said and done, when infact the ideas behind samples are to get people to try, then they can make their own minds up
I get samples all the time, through my letter box, in the streets, in markets all of them designed to tept you to purchase the said product they are "GIVING AWAY" as a sample. A marketing ploy that obviously works wonders for the manufactures of these products., and as Steve has previuosly quoted free samples of nemesis are available,
I shall be ringing john for a SAMPLE of nemesis, and then form my own opinion be it good or bad!!!
Surly this is the way to go, c/leaners could have made their own minds up if this had been the case with m/power. I am convinced that the amount of backstabbing and bickering on the subject would have been minimised ,if this had been the case. after all i dare say a good profit is been made on these SAMPLES .
Can I also make myself clear, I am not knocking m/power or solutions, how can i knock a product i havnt tried?
Geoff
