how much would you all charge for a standard 3 bed semi - total of 5 average size upstairs windows, 3 downstairs and a front door.

Oxfordshire.............
10 windows or less is £10. If its anymore then its £1 a window (frames and sills included in price but I dont charge for front and back doors or if they have the overhead PVC canopy.
I do a few coach houses (houses above garages) but I just charge £1 a window as they are so easy to do.

Provided that the access is fine, that sounds like it would just about come within my £10 minimum charge.
I'm in the south east.

How do you know you can only get £6. Have you tried to charge more?
A couple of years ago there was an issue on here about the North / South divide but some of the guys managed to push up prices even in the worst parts of the North.

Hi Jonathan,i told you mate on friday your prices were too cheap, think business not kind hearted i know you are a nice guy, unless you have a lot of competition you may need to keep your prices down and work pretty rapid, but i started to raise my prices about 2 years ago quite a bit and was quite surprised it didn`t put people off,as i am an attention to detail person i reflect my prices on the kind of job i do,all the best with it,Gaz  ;)

I'm in the same area as Squeaks and Tosh, a ten bed semi for me will be around £8 to £10.
On domestic I try to aim at a minimum of £8 regardless of how small the account is, having said that there are a few exceptions to that rule :-\

i notice that there is a big difference in prices from north to south, and that up north you buy your rounds and no one should go on your patch. And then any new builds, its like flys to poop, who ever gets there first gets the job. My average price for a semi is a fiver, and i know lots of windowcleaners who clean for less.If i could raise the prices to the same as south i would be a very rich man and probably have less work.but the northerners will not pay that much for a semi as down south, so a fiver sounds good to me, oops maybe i will have to put them up on january

Riches don't make a man rich, it's the struggle that makes you rich! ;)
