Title: blind cleaning

do people still get their venetian blinds cleaned or are there still venetian blinds in existance, what about this sonic cleaning does it really work?

Blind cleaning is big business here in Oz, and there are a load of Ultrasonic cleaning franchises around the Sydney area.
They do a great job, and are by far the best way to clean blinds.
I met a chap doing it a few years ago and we've been giving each other loads of work ever since.
Lots of folk suddenly realise that their windows are minging once the blinds are removed  for cleaning and i'll get a job from him, and vice versa, plus he fixes them too which customers love.
He's also moved into supplying them as well and that's keeping him busier than the cleaning.

As someone who used to retail blinds I do not think you would find a big domestic Market.

I'd have to beg to differ on that one, if Aussies get their blinds cleaned why would'nt it work in the UK? Oz is full of pommes anyway..   ;D

I reckon you could make it work, run another company doing the window cleaning and you'd be laughing.

I have been taking a look at this too.

 Seems most of the feedback I have had so far shows that many of my customers would welcome the service.

 For me, it's all about offering an extra service to tag onto my current business.

Because, once I have done a whole house in blinds they don't need me again until they move or change their mind ( rare ) .

 The formula is right as I already have a large and growing customer base I can mailshot, nobody else near is offering it !

 I could even include it as an upgrade on purchase for me to return after x months to clean them !

Main problem I see is that the machines are bulky and very costly to buy.

 Having my own premises could mean a problem as running costs so far are tiny.
