Title: Advertising?
Post by: www.crawleycarpetc on October 05, 2006, 10:18:31 pm
What do you get back for what you have spent?

The way i see it you need to turn over at least 5 times what you spend to make that particular form of advertising viable?

Your opinions please guys?

Regards Rob.

yell pages brings in 3 x times the cost of the ad

£500 ad = £1500 new business

£2000 ad brings in £6000 new business

Thats how I have found it over the last 20 yrs anyway  ;)

OR if you get a job from yell pages ( new customer) thats worth £100, then about £33 is gone just on the cost of the ad ???

but,,,, its a new customer,,,so next time they book you or recommend you, you get 100% profit :P

Chris your last point is very valid, the cost of gaining a customer is only relevant the first time, every time you clean for them after that its cost nothing.

Some say if you spend £100 on an advert but only make a £100 then you have actually worked for nothing, which is true. Which is why you should have a effective recommendation & reminder system in place to make the most of that customer.
