Hello Annette, and welcome to Cleanitup - I hope you find it to be useful.

If you haven't already done so, could I impose upon you to have a read through of the "Welcome Message" post on either of the window cleaning boards, so that you know what to expect from others here, and what we would expect of you. Fill in a few more details in your profile, signature and personal text, let us know what sort of work you are involved in - that sort of thing.

Read, Digest, Enjoy!

Here's some links to previous posts which mention flyers . . .
http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Equipment;action=display;num=1081354650;start=3#3

http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Equipment;action=display;num=1076883287;start=0#0

http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Startingwindowcleaning;action=display;num=1075842253;start=9#9

If you want to play with the "Search" button - it's at the top of the page. In fact, if you search for "Welcome Message" you'll maybe pick up more hints for newbies.

All the best - have fun!

£1 per metre on gutter cleans, are you mad? I would not touch them for anything less than £2 per foot. Its a speicalliest area and theres not many people that clean gutters so charge more for the service.

Risking your neck on a ladder for £1 per metre is plan silly.  I have seen big companies charge £20 per metre.

make sure your flyers are double sided and put some in newsagents windows as well i found that i got a good response from this, my flyers also had a cartoon type window cleaner with a big smile on his face dunno if that helped but the mrs said it was the spitting image of me lol
