Hi, Can anone advise me on best methods to clean carpet tiles. These are in a Dentists reception, never been cleaned and are a few years old.. :-X
-
I`ve cleaned them with a hwe machine a few times.....its fine if they are stuck down properly....complete night mare if not.
i`d be interested in any other ways to clean them aswell ::)

HWE is always the best for first choice. Having said that a lot of cleaners use a dry system and have or get good results. But if you phone up the carpet tile manufacturer they will ALWAYS advise that hwe is the best. Best, Dave.

HWE is very difficult without airflow and not likely to get much of that on stuck down / bitumen backed tiles.
Best method for such flooring would be Low Moisture..........i use Charly Pads but you could use Bonnets, Texatherm or Dry Fusion .................less you put into tiles, the less you have to get out ;)

Most important thing is agitation - pre-pray, plenty of agitation, then a quick skim or rinse is all that's normally needed.

Thanks a lot, should i take some adhesive along in case any come up ?

I would just advise the client that they may lift due to the cleaning process and if they do it will be their responsability to relay them

You need to determine what tipe of tiles they are. I have found that Host works well on carpet tiles
