Title: Haveing A Bad Week

Hi all realy fed up this week thought i was going to get some good comercial work this week but it all fell through, and to cap it all my van is playing up, loss of power and black smoke pouring from exhaust.
Just picked it up from garage £238.00 but still got smoke problem and garage dont know whats causing it, so of to specialist diesel garage this afternoon to spend lots more money I expect, havent earned a penny for over a week due to van being in garage, and I can tell wifes getting nervous about buisness not making enough for us to live on.
Oh well it can only get better or can it?

Drew, if its black smoke then its burning diesel and not oil. Its not a bad thing my car runs great yet it burns diesel. Just rev it a lot and it will soon clear. I wait till I have a mate driving behind me (better if he's just cleaned the car) and rev the engine.

All sorted now, problem with EGR system, guy fixed it in 5 minutes charged me a tenner pheww.
Hopefuly get some work soon, got a job friday £120, 4 monthlys to do tomorrow,still a bit worried I havent got enough monthlys yet.
