As above really! How to do it and how long for/often? thanks in advance.

I you havent bought the auto flush kit for it, then just remove the drain elbow and let it run for 5 to 10 mins. BUT more important than flushing is to keep your RO connected to the mains and under pressure.

disconnect the drain elbow??
Sorry Steve I'm not sure I follow you.
I'd always recommend the flushing kit - well worth the money.

How do i keep it conected and under pressure? i'd flood my garage!

you block off the product line and drain line (close them using a valve on each line)

The drain elbow has a restriction in it, all you do is remove the locking bar, pull out the elbow, put the locking bar back in. You the get a greater flow to drain with the elbow removed, hence a flush. In the conventional manner for an RO. We do knownthat the flushing kit does it differently but I did qualify my reply with "if you haven't bought the flushing kit"

Just take the merlin outside.

thanks chaps

sorry, mistook what you were saying steve - yes removing the drain elbow will increase flow out of the drain - hence it will flush the merlin somewhat
