hi   yes it was easy   but must say it cleaned better with wand than the power wand thingy !  like runny tar coming out of the dump hose!    and really foamed up think this was down to the vast amounts of beer on carpet it stunck in thier when i first got there, if it wasnt for the v2 heater i think it would hav been twice as hard and twice as long to do the job ,it took 2 hours to do the job half what i thought it would as it looked so bad  but it came up a treat, i recon i used about 150 ltrs water ,it was about the size of 5 18x12 rooms

p.s i had to do it on me own as my help was a no show

That's good you get to keep all the money. Bet you're glad you gota water tank, that woud have been a lot of buckets.

Gary, sorry to bang on about this, but do you know anybody else with a TM Ninja? I would have offerred to help and have a poke around your funny van, but I was on a course.

I was thinking of having a chat with Derek about a steam mate and vacbooster and get him to put me in touch with some guys using it.

Gary, was it you that e-mailed me a while back re truckmount ninja? If so many thanks-very informative mate! I am shortly going to leave ninja in van and buy a vac booster. But is it true what Ashbys say that you can run 400 ft of hoses-are they powerful enough? Am also looking at a v2 and forget tank heater-that way its only two extension leads. Thanks. Damian.

hi mike n dam,  no i dont now anyone else who uses one in the van like me but i am sure thier is, i hav left machines in van for about 6 years and hav never had a prob and would never go back to lugging them out.  cant comment on the portable v2 heater as mine is built in but my one is superb . as for vac booster i hav never had a prob with just 2 x 3 stage vacs at 100ft and they are really over priced imo  and as for claims of 400 ft for just adding one more vac thats extra 300ft ! i dont think so some how ! the most i would use with one extra vac is 150ft if i ever felt the need for more vac power i can double two of my machines up and hav 4x3 stage vacs but still woudnt go over 150ft imo u are better spending your money on a sechand machine that way u get a backup machine plus double the vacs up if need be,this can be done in two ways one is by using a ninja vac boost lid or using a short piece of vac hose from one exhasut outlet to vac intake sorry a third way is to use a y peice and link both machines at vac intake,if you are going to work from the van u must hav a water tank,12 volt pump and auto dump and at least a 400psi pump also a very compact van as i hav that way u can get up to the front of nearly all houses ,if u use ext leads they must be very very heavy duty, imo thier is only two vans for this setup one being my one dihatsu extol and the bedford rascal type as they hav lot height inside twin doors and very narrow the first the extol is by far the better more modern more powerfull far better drive etc etc list is endless i recon my setup is 70% less to run th an a petol truckmount setup ,as i hav said for years if u lug a porty out of your van every day then u c how i am doing it the next morning u wouldnt want to get out of bed !! anyone is welcome to look at my setup anytime they want

Gary

Have you ever thought about selling this as a package with the help of the machine supplier?

Just a thought as it sounds very good and I would have thought that the machine suppliers are missing a trick by not selling this as a package.

Cheers

Neil

hi, i did ask ashbys once y they didnt sell a setup just for truckmount but didnt ever really get an answer,  u dont even need the top of a ninja just the bottom as all componets are in the bottom incuding all lecys and switches etc
the way i thought of doing this was by having two bottom halfs of ninjas connect to a fresh water tank and vacs into a waste tank like ed in usa sells then u coud hav all the 4 vacs connected but as they are all switched seperatly u hav choice of how many u want turned on , then u could hav both pumps linked together if u need lots of pressure or not  it really is pretty simple and u woudlnt need the 12volt pump as u would draw the water straight out of fresh water tank

Some good posts their Gary.

Probably the reason Ashbys don't market it is people would realise at their prices you're not far off small truckmount money whereas before they would only have considered other porty competition.

Tanks, pumps, leads and 2nd hand Ninja could all be bought on Ebay!

hi mike , i did get a price from ashbys for 2 top spec ninjas minus the tops and in was under 3000 ,fresh water tank 200  dont no price on a waste tank so its pretty cheap really, but for me the whole point of using portys as truckmounts is the vast diff in day to day costs of running an petrol truckmount in a big van to a porty truckmount i know of people on here who hav sold thier truckmounts and gone back to portys because of high costs, dont get me wrong petrol truckmounts hav thier place if u are doing vasts amounts of com work costs wouldnt matter  but doing just domestic work u end up with lot more money in u pocket with a porty truckmount

Hi Gary. So how and when do you introduce chems then?

u can use chem meter with my 12 vt pump or when u fill fresh water tank up or put scoop in porty tank u be surprised after few fills how much chem is still in the prty tank i dont use much as the high heat /steam imo dos most of the cleaning
