Title: Starting a round
Post by: pnrbowmanw on September 28, 2006, 11:45:34 pm
Hi everyone,

I am interested in starting up my own window cleaning business and I'm just wondering if anybody out there has any advice for me?

I don't want to "steal" anybodies established rounds as I believe getting on with fellow w/c's would be more beneficial in the long run. I am keen to start up soon ( within 6 months ).

How do I buy an established round and is it worthwhile to do so?
Insurance e,g, public liability etc?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am based near Leeds and Bradford.

I look forward to any responses regarding this.

Thanks again, Paul

Hi Reah,

Sorry it's taken a while to reply. I couldn't find my own posting! Figured it now though... LOL.

I have cleaned before for three months. The person I was helping was unfortuanatly losing interest in his rounds and decided to sell them on. At the time though I wasn't sure if I could do it on my own with so little experience so when asked if I was interested in buying his rounds I said no. Big mistake.

I love working outside and I'm really interested in starting my own business.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The best way is to go through the post on here regarding starting a round.
You have some experience so that is good.
You need to build a round now.
You can either buy or build your own.
Have a look at past posts for advice.

Just ask it does not matter how silly a question may sound.
We have all been there and are learning all the time.

Thats what these forums are for.
Give it a couple of months and your be answering questions as well.
