Just wondered what "special offers" anyone offers to new customers or one off customers, either by leaflets or weekly local paper ads.
I have found some are more effective than others, and my best seller is a "free" window clean when they have their gutters and facias cleaned and cleared, of course some of the cost is incorporated into the gutter price normally around £80 for a 3 bed house. Usually get to sign them up for regular window cleaning after they see how you work, so more business again!
I can easily do about 10 gutter jobs a week (2 to 3 a day) clearing a decent amount of money for not many hours, average spending 2 hrs per job.

When you say cleaning gutters do you mean cleaning the gutters out, or the gutters themselfs, because i am undercharging when i do it.if thats what you get. What i did when i first started to get more work, was to say get a new customer get a free clean, was just like buying the work for the face value it worked great and got me loads of new work.

Same for me £80 for the average semi with 3 runs of gutters , i always throw the windows in with it , you will nt be thanked for leaving there windows in a mess and it is quick to do once you are there , doing the window frames as well gives the house a real lift.

i was led to believe it was £1 per metre thats why i dont push for it... god i learn everyday :D

£1 a metre i charge that a foot or £1.50 per foot with facia's
