do you work or them
-
NO I DONT! I just came across it when I was looking on ebay. They say that accomadation is added on top of the price. There is no way of knowing how much things cost until the work is complete. But could you imagine the extra costs, up to 5 door knockers away from home all need feeding and a seperate room to sleep in at night. It could amount to a lot of lolly.
And if you dont pay up then they'll be knocking on your door.

Steve,
forgive me if I'm missing the point? Doorknockers post here regularly and as far as i know have quite a good reputation,
all costs from what i gather are agreed before hand. I really don't see your point?
Regards Rob.

I havent really got a point, its just to see if anyone has seen this. You are right about the cost being agreed before hand. The thing is that its advertised as a £4000 round costing £8000 + charges of fuel and obviously accomidation. The door Knockers have 2 years experiance so its good that they dont just put an add in the local paper and use people from there who have no experiance and probably dont care. But if you want a round in the north of England and they use their door knockers from the south then there is a large expense. Thats all I'm saying, Where in my comments have I said anything against door knockers. I know they use this site and I have nothing but respect for them, after all havent we all at one time been a door knocker.
Cheers

You all have a point,
Yes doorknockers do advertise on here all the time,..
but nothing wrong with pointing out additional costs,
Its fair to say that if they live on your doorstep, the prices they quote are sort of ok,
but if you live hundreds of miles away, and they have a rotton first couple of evenings canvassing, well! come on guys lol.... add the figures up.... they have a target set by you,
so they will achieve it .
eventually.!
but at your cost.

Sept 17th Paul quoted to me he had built 30 rounds (Concept 2o Post), now on ebay its 50!!
5 days later and 20 new rounds, now that's good :-\

Quote: 30 wfp rounds is'nt a massive amount, but none of them can match or beat the rate stated
I was'nt insinuating that you build your own wfp systems, i was asking if you do that's all!
30 wfp rounds i had said Trevor! plus 20 traditional, Crikey what is up with you these days, all you seem to want to do is moan and gripe, i apologised a year ago, for not being able to give you a quicker answer on your own roundbuilding, we were looking at the time as if we were going to get a team leader, so that me and Karen could break away and devote time more to commercial, but it did'nt come together, we could have done it if there was a better mix of domestic and commercial, therefore allowing the rest of the team in on the project, who were not as qualified as us two, you had said originally, houses £20 and over, and then when we had the meeting you moved the goalposts to £30 and above, which would have been too hard!
I even commended you on becoming a moderator, might as well have talked to a brick wall!
Hiya Gazza Sp8, i think the rate we charge is very fair, as do the vast majority of the 50 rounds we have developed, if we did'nt charge extra for fuel and accomodation, we would only be able to do local work!
There are other companies charging x4, so i do not think we are being unreasonable to include the extra add ons, if anyone lives within 50 miles of our cambridge rate, we only charge x2.

Fair comment about charging x2 the amount. Some charge x4 which I think is too much.
