Title: customer database
Post by: the red carpet on September 20, 2006, 08:22:59 pm
How do you keep records of who you have cleaned for, and when there next due?

There must be some kind of decent computer program about, i want to compile a mailing list that will also let me list details of customers like if there price conscious or if i liked them etc. So i could just pick a specific group to target at any one time.

Is there a database i can get that will remind me when to send a reminder letter to customers?

Cheers Paul, i saw your post thats what prompted me to ask.
Trouble is i dont understand all this computer stuff to much, do you have this program?

If so what are its main benifits?

Is there something designed specifically for cc's anywhere?

Hi Red
I dont know of any just for c/c.
You can do a pretty good data base with microsoft word if your ok on the computer.
The quick books pro is a good user friendly accounts managment programme that covers evey aspect of your business. It has pre done templates and you can set it up quite quick. Most accountants use it so you can copy them your end of year accounts easily.

Best system I have seen in years and I know a few c/c who use it.

I us a product called contact plus personal.  I think you can download a trial copy on www.contactplus.com.

It allows me to keep all the details of my customers, set a follow up date to contact them, record what I cleaned for them, send them all a letter or reminder etc etc.  It is fully customisable to your needs.

Its worth a look.

Hope this helps.

Regards

John
