Hi,
Does anyone know a supplier of Chemspec chemicals that gives a discount. I have spoken to a couple who say if they give a discount and Chemspec become aware they will allegedly stop the supply.
Any chemical supplier, keeping the cost artifically high would be running a restrictive practice which I beleive illegal

How I see it is the supplier can supply who they want. The supplier sets the price that they want the item sold at which is perfectly legal. With some suppliers, not just chemicals, with large numbers of distributors they are not really concerned about people offering discounts. However with small markets such as carpet cleaning, companies like Chemspec only have a small number of suppliers. If one or two of these were offering the products at a reduced rate that may have an impact on the other distributors who then may decide not to sell Chemspec products. So I can see where they are coming from.

Don’t often use Chemspec cleaning agents; their suppliers are very thin on the ground in my neck of the woods only two as far as I know! Croydon and Sidcup. Did buy from one and got a small discount not as much as I get from one of the Prochem suppliers a whopping 25% off published price another one 10% but is open on Saturday morning
Think delivery charge also comes into the equation.
