hi everyone
I have bought myself a shurflo backpack and I am impressed with it but I feel I need some tips so I can get the best out of it.
Here are a few thing I hoping you could help me out with.
1. how do I avoid spots [i think the trickle vent might have somthing to do with?]
2. what speed do I need to clean window [1] [2] [3] or [4]?
3.how long do I need to clean one window because I seem to be using a lot of water water?
4. how would you clean a dirty frames and sills. I mean very dirty like black dirt.
5. When you are done cleaning the window. Do you rinse the window.
Please help me out
cheers

Dave,
Sorry mate. I guess I'm this forum's 'backpack representative', however, I would have to do a lot of thinking and typing to answer all your questions.
In a nutshell, use setting two (you should have a flow rate of around two-to-two-and-a-half litres per minute; measure it using a bucket, a watch and measure the amount of water produced with a measuring jug).
First cleans with WFP can be a pain; go overboard.
Yes, it's extremely important to rinse.
Now what you should do is use the SEARCH facility at the top of the page and search for 'backpack', 'first WFP cleans' and 'rinsing'.
Also, do a search for 'WFP letter of explanation'.
Once you've spent a couple of hours of reading, then return and ask any questions you've still got.
I don't mean to sound rude, but we keep on 'reinventing the wheel' here.
Good luck with the backpack.
Regards,
Tosh.

Hi Davidx,
As Tosh has said, we could be here all day explaining things to you. So I would like to make a suggestion.
Place a different post and ask for help in the form of spending a day with someone. This does not have to be a person who just uses a backpack though. From your post, it sounds like you have no idea (no disrespect meant) about cleaning with wfp. You should learn more in a day by helping another window cleaner than you will slowly back trailing posts etc.
I hope this helps
Andrew

Hi tosh & Andrew
Anderw you are right. I don't know alot about WFP. I have spoke to someone who know a guy who use wfp. So I am hoping he be kind to me to help me out.
Tosh I have read what you said and you are right. It make a world of different to rinse.
it don't leave spot on the windows but maybe one or two but you have to look closely to find it. And I found it better to clean the dirty sills and frames then the window.
Thank anyway
