hi guys i need to hire an electric scissor lift non marking tyres and a max working height of 8m i live in york and have rung a few places but they are all in west & south yorkshire and i am being quoted around £270.00 inc vat for 1 day the problem is the transport costs @ £ 75.00 each way
do any of you know if there is anywhere closer to me to cut this cost ???

You could try Nationwide Access check em out in yell pages ;)
