i once priced up a car showroom
inside and outside cleans, every month on a main road
5 quid a section of glass (they were a fair size)
came to 80 quid
i didnt get the job
the last guy charged 15 quid for the lot ::) ::)
the owner wanted to pay no more than 30 quid ::) ::)
i spoke to him again and he gets a young lad to do it now, and pays him 25 quid a time, takes the lad 4 hours

Its a funny one pricing isnt it especially the big jobs, you just dont know what the potential customer might have paid in the past or what they feel ok with paying,I think from reading posts here and from my limited experience is price it from your perspective and see if it gets a bite.
I am slowly getting a bit better with the pricing but I think there is a bit of a gulf between my view and what the customer expects a quote to be.
I had a potential customer trying to tell me what the price should be for her house-which I havent yet seen and she was outside my house for this conversation - which pittled me off a bit but I said I would go round and price it then its up to her.

I expect Peter Fogill was doing it with his wfp in about 15 minutes ;D ;D ;D

Sorry Peter, I am only joking! ;D

This is a commercial job... would take 2 men 4 hrs....so £35.00 is not even funny. I was just reading GAZZA's thread about the £2.50 boys..This is the same but the ratio is worse these muppets are 25p boys ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
