Got a flyer through this morning from an insurance company specialising in van insurance for window cleaners.
I was told by them that it was very unlikely that my insurance company would cover all my WFP gear in the van.
So I rang Direct line & sure enough I have been riding around for the last 6 - 7 weeks with all my gear uninsured.
IF YOUR INSURANCE DOES NOT SPECIFY YOU ARE COVERED FOR VAN CONTENTS THEN THE CHANCES ARE YOUR'E NOT.

Just got off the phone from them. Not only will they cover my van & it's contents, they are also £80 cheaper than Direct Line.
You've probably had one of their flyers come through your door if you are listed in a directory, if not here are their details
A Plan Insurance

Ask for Bruce Barratt, he was very helpful.

I have just got a quote from A-Plan and for a Fiat Scudo Van, inc all WFP equipment, so total insured value 9,000.00 was 306.00 per yr with 100 excess. Another company that looks after window cleaners is Alexander Swan. Nice guy there called Simon. 01793 863692. Hope this helps.

Notice there haven't been many replies, does that mean I'm telling you something that you already knew?

niceandclean, could I ask what system you have. As I have tried to get my system insured with them, and I was quoted about that figure.... just for the system!! :o
I only ask, as I believe they generally only insure ionics, because they've been crash tested, or something like that.
