Title: A DIY ro static system.
Post by: Dave hook on September 13, 2006, 11:45:54 am
Im thinking off doing a DIY static ro system because the cheapest ive seen a complete system for is £900.
Im gonna need an ro system, water tank, subersible pump and a transfer hose. Ive not bothered with a cut off valve cos it'll be outside so im not bothered about overflowing. I recon i can get all this equipment for around £270 from various websites. Have i missed anything off the list that i'll need to complete the system? Has any1 out there done a similar DIY job who can point me in the right direction?

Thanks for that pal.
I've priced it up as follows:
      6 STAGE RO £145
      1000ltr TANK £60
TRANSFER HOSE £12 (£1.20 per metre)
      SUBMERSABLE PUMP £55.
Does this seem reasonable or can any1 suggest anywhere cheaper for the listed items?

      SUBMERSABLE PUMP £55.

Try screwfix for the submersible pump, I got mine from them for 38. Fills my 350L trailer from empty in about 8-9 mins, that's through a 25 metres of 1" tricoflex hose.

Hi Dave.

You will need a T.D.S meter as well.

Is it just your holding tank that is going outside ?, dont forget winter is on the way.
