Title: WORKING OUT HOLIDAYS PRO RATA
Post by: dustdees on September 12, 2006, 06:56:41 pm
Hi all,

I expect this topic has been addressed before, and I am being thick, so sorry, before I get te silly answers.

Now then,

Can anyone tell me how to work out how many days holiday an employee would have during an incomplete year of service.

Sorry, bad day I hope you all understand this question.

Thanks Again

Denise xx

Hi Denise,

Obviously it depends how many days you give your employees but here is a example.

21 days holiday a year equates to 1.75 days a month, so if a employee has worked for 8 months thats 1.75 x 8 = 14 days entitlement.

Simply divide the yearly entitlement by 12 and then multiply by how many months worked and deduct any holiday used.

Hope this helps Rob.
