Title: removing chewing gum

Hi there can anyone tell me of the best way of removing chewing gum of a carpet(would i have to buy a machine,if so how much would they be}or is there a easier way?

for really bad areas i use a steam gun and citrus gel. i find if you only use a chemical you end up with a sticky mess :-/
