Title: Matts supplier complaint
Post by: Mike_Boxall on September 07, 2006, 05:57:42 pm
Sorry Matt, but this forum is not the place to discuss specific supplier issues. I've seen too many just turn into slanging matches with no benefit to anyone.

Regards

No problem..just telling it as it is .

I thought the forum was a place to share experience's good and bad.

Could you not repost my original thread and lock it so it can at least be read this evening at prime time ...seems unfair to remove it before anybody has got home .

i have read your post before it was removed

£50 i think is a bit steep as NORMAL CHARGES ON A CREDIT CARD IS .50P

AS FOR REMOVING THE POST.I THINK THAT IS UNFAIR

I THOUGHT THAT THIS FORUM WAS FOR SHARING EXPERIENCES GOOD AND BAD?

DO THEY SPONSER THIS SITE???

OR IS SOME ONE ON THE TAKE???

i have nothing against them but it seems that their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.esp when someone is willing to pay CASH 14k

I thought the reply was quite a good defence, it showed there is always two sides to a story,

Matts compliant can be read elsewhere so no one will miss it

It was very poor service Mike, and they can dress it up anyway they like...but it doesn't excuse the attitude shown to my other half on the phone this morning from the managing director.

I had no intention of posting at all providing i got a full refund and the phone call this morning that tipped the scales wouldn't have been needed had i been refunded in full.

I have nothing further to say on the matter, i think censorship is a bad thing on a forum but to be expected when suppliers are involved.

Anyone not a member of the other forums can email me on astroclean94@yahoo.co.uk and i will forward my original post.

It's a grey area Matt.

Expecting moderators to delete some posts and not others (and then the topic doesn't make sense) is just too time consuming I'm afraid.

I have no reason to doubt your version of events but if we allow all posts like this to stand sooner or later you get someone who is just downright unreasonable (we've all had customers like that haven't we!) and a lot of undeserved damage can be done in a very short space of time.

As a supplier of a competing range of truckmounts it could be argued that I would have benefited more by leaving the topic on there! (and I hope you've considered the Prochem range now  :-X )

I hope it works out for you whatever you went for in the end.

Regards

Mike

Sorry Mike,

I also read the post and thought it very fair with a member of the suppliers staff also adding her remarks. If you remove these posts you should also remove every post regarding Yell, ufind us etc etc etc

Regards Rob.

I'm of the opinion that in the first instance the supplier should be given a fair chance to rectify the situation.

If the supplier fails to offer a solution, within a reasonable time then it's fair for it to be posted on a forum such as this.

So long as the information presented is factual, I can't see that there's a problem.

RCS is right, in my opinion. Either ban ALL posts about problems with suppliers or ban none of them.

Mike, So did woodbridge post a reply?

I missed it before it was deleted.

They have not posted any such replies on any of the other forums like " not alllowed to say the names of other hated forums "

What was said?

Cheers

Chris

Hi

I saw the original post, but not the reply.

Personally i havn't had any dealings with Woodbridge.

All these spats are really personality clashes where one person thinks someone else is saying one thing & the other thinks something else entirely.

I think slagging a company off like woodbridge can do a lot of damage esp

when it's just one persons experience, and lets face it any business can make

mistakes or not get it right all the time.

How would we feel if we had our business smeared all over the forum?

A little more thought before posting would be a good thing!

If it's not constructive then it's of no benefit to anyone.

regards
steve
