Here are two questions for those who have upgraded from portables to truckmounts.
Q1. By what percentage did you increase your productivity as a result?
This could be expressed in terms of time saved or turnover increase.
Q2. How long did it take for the increase in turnover to match the capital outlay for the truckmount and its accessories?

Hi Neil, difficult to say as very new to truck mount
but it appears to be in the region of 40% quicker.
Not as big a difference on small jobs although the joy of not having to get the m/c out, fill the tank, plug it in and wait for it to heat up is fantastic. Real savings come in when the jobs get bigger, 5 bed house with no buckets of clean/dirty water to shift, I love it. I still have Host, a proprietory hot bonnet cleaning system and my trusty twin vac. I,m not sure that the vacuum on a truck mount is any more powerful than a top of the range portable, but the pressure of the pump and the temperature of the solution definately is. Drying times reduced by about 50% too.

Lee Grundy has got it to a T!
1st job at 8.30 home for 1
That's how fast, obviously depends on how greedy I mean how many jobs you want to do.

Neil, Same as Chris on performance although I would say can be a lot quicker on some small jobs. Where you can park in a drive for instance, you can clean a single room, and be away in less than a hour (sometimes ½ hr). Not much quicker on upholstery, but leaves dryer.
Regards pay off, I got mine last week in Feb, since then to date and not taking any costs into account, have earned ¾ of cost. Problem is getting more work to fill new capacity. But do get more time at home.

Hi
Are you guys saying that the vacuum is roughly the same as a twin vac?
Cheers,

The published airflow on my Alltec Pro Plus is 220cfm. A typical starter T/M is around 200cfm. Does that sound like my porty is more powerful? No way Jose. The lift on a T/M, even a starter unit, is a zillion times greater than a portable. On the same length hose, a T/M will always outperform a conventional porty. Maybe my Alltec at 7.5 mtrs. and a small T/M at 60mtrs may have similar vacuum performance at the wand, but probably not.
Safe and happy cleaning:)
