I know a lot has been mentioned regarding insurance companies, however I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a good, reliable and responsive insurance company.

I am finding that they either request a renewal date or turnover of the various services that your company may offer. I'm not sure what this has to do with issuing a policy - but there you go and it certainly makes it difficult for new businesses just starting out and in need of insurance!

Any help  greatly appreciated. :)

Surely someone must've had difficulties in getting insurance when starting out due to not having any form of turn-over?

What are your experinces....what did you put on your application....or shall I just make it up as I go along?

Anyone.....please?  :'(

Sadly my bank does not offer business insurance. I have found by my research that many insurances for businesses will require turn-over for specific services the company may offer.

Do I simply state an estimate of what I believe it may be or do they require auctual turn-over? I certainly don't want to inaccurately fill out a form for this type of thing because if anything were to go wrong I could find myself in a very difficult situation with an insurance company refusing to pay out.

There, surely, has to be some people here that have expereinced the same kind of issues, or did many simply start out without insurance?

Your insurance will be based on anticipated turnover, not actual turnover.

Many thanks for your reply - I had considered it to be the anticipated turn-over but any applications I faced never actually stated it since many would then refer to transferral or renewal dates of/from a previous insurer, thus giving the impression a company must have been going for a while....well....anyway....

HSBC offer a good selection of selfemployed and Cleaning Business Insurances, i will be getting a quote from them when mine needs renewing but at the moment im with MMA Insurance PLC.

Get as many quotes as you can, you will be supprised how different they can be, .....i am also with mma ;)
