The norm seems to be charge the same for protection as to clean, at the moment I charge a little less but am putting it up soon as Im going to start to guarentee my protector and use one with an acid dye blocker

Those who charge the same for protector as cleaning how many jobs % wise buy protector.

My philosophy is to sell it half the cleaning cost or less depending as its a 5min job for an extra £20 or so profit after chemical cost.

Which protector has the acid dye blocker and whats the benefit of this.  Dont tell me for tea of coffee either.

i normally do about 3/4's of the cleaning price.

What are the favorite protectors for you chaps ? Particuarly applying to damp or slightly damp carpets on finishing.

I've always used alltec's, recently bought some pro mite but haven't used it yet as i think it has to be applied to 100% dry carpets ? (both water based protectors).

I go for 50% of cleaning costs and tell the customer it's a half price offer and I would say 90% of customers go for it!

Really it's money for nothing 8)
