Cleantec for fan spray get my vote

I used fan 15" x 2" (salmon) then pencil 10" (Vikan) then back to fan 12" x 3" (salmon)
I prefer fan jets but when using the brush at 90 degrees (awkward to get at windows) you need to be aware of overspray bringing muck down off the top frame.

Pencil do me fine. For nearly a year now, but I keep getting a nagging feeling that fan jets would serve me better. I just haven't got around to it yet!

Pencil jets are good all day every day, but found them a pain when doing big sheet glass on 100% glass buildings. That is where the fan jets come into there own, it mists up well and dry in no time, no time for runs.
As I say fan jets have there place and its not on everyday windows.
Perfect for sheet glass, just bring the head down slowly perfect results coz of the overhead spray.

I find that you can be more accurate with Pencil jets.

I've tried fan-jets with my backpack, but they didn't seem to work; well one side did, the other didn't.
It could be because my pressure was too low for them to kick in....? Or it could be because one of the jets is dodgy. I don't know.
But do you really think it matters? To me, pencil jets do the same job; get water to the glass and to rinse you just 'rinse'.

I first started off with pencil jets then I changed to fan jets. The reason I changed to fan jets Is that I thought rinsing the glass would be easier and you would'nt have to keep chasing that bit of dirt down the glass with the pencils. I was wrong and I quickly changed back to pencil jets.
The pencil jets went well for me, & I was starting to like them untill I bought one of peters auto brushes which had fan jets built In. I stuck with the fan jets and really got to like them and now I wont even look at pencil jets.

I have both fan jets and omnipole pencil jets which are finer than some pencil jets i have tried.
I go for the omnipole pencil jets everytime.
But its probably what you get used to as i have been using these for 18 months and just can't get used to fan jets
