Title: Script
Post by: AquaMagic on August 31, 2006, 02:23:13 pm
Hi All, has anyone tried telemarketting targetting pubs restaurants hotels etc, ive done a little bit of telemarketting before im going to give it a try, has anyone else on here tried it and if so what kind of results did you have?, did you use a script?, what approach worked best for you?

other than the obvious obsticles such as TPS is there anything else i should wacth out for?

With winter approaching im hoping i can make telemarketting work as id rather be sat at home in the warm than out truding the streets posting flyers.

ta, Dene

I was thinking of doing the same thing, however I think the word 'script' will put a lot of people off. When I hear the voice of someone reading something out I just turn right off.

However should you have a script? Absolutely, because you can craft something where every word is for a reason. I have listened to tapes of stuff I'd just said to a Client in the past quite naturally and realised this was a script burried deep in my unconscious, and that's the difference. The same goes for reframing standard reason why people might say no. Is it worth the effort for CC though? Not sure :-\

In the end I decided if they see you and you offer a demo, this would be more productive. When I get one it's the first thing I tell the next one. They seem to be tight beggers though, but like repeat bus. ;D
