Title: Chenille Suite

Hi all,

Looked at a Chenille suite tonight, self coloured not too bad apart from some heavy soiling on the arms. I am a newbie and I have only done 2 suites before, on these I used Chemspec chems and they came up well. So far so good :)

However, In my Van I have 2 Presprays I havent tried yet, Prochem's Prespray Gold pH8 and Alltec's Ultimate master pH9.8.  looking to gain more knowledge and experience and having a bit of an inquisitive nature, I want to try out as much new stuff as poss.

Any Views on these 2 pre sprays and what I should use in the solution tank for HWE after them would be greatly appreciated.

I realise that there are loads of other chems out there but I got the Prespray gold (5L) thrown in when I bought my second hand machine and a bucket load of the Ultimate Master powder as a freebie when I did the NCCA course so I may as well use them, who knows, I might like them! Or am I barking up the wrong tree and should be using somethig else completely?

Also I recieved my NCCA membership certificate last week M/N1630  8)

Ultimate master is an extraction chemical  :o

I should have read the packet label more carefully  ??? I'm completely unfamiliar with Alltec chemicals as the only two Catalogues I've got are Chemspec and Prochem. Well I did say I was new, talk about a fast learning curve. So that's fine I can try out The Prespray gold and then try out exctracting with Ultimate master.

P.s origionally from Haddington East Lothian now live on the coast near Dunbar and Berwick upon Tweed in the Borders.

Nice part of the country Adam, i've been to inerlethan a few times.

It must take a bit of doing to build a business up there.

You can use ultimate master as a pre-spray or in the tank for extraction. Both are fine.

With chenille you will beifit from pre-vacing and once you have pre-sprayed your um or whatever, use a soft brush to agitate the pre-spray in, then extract. Should be no problem as long as your pre-tests are ok ;)

That's handy to know, I thought I heard someone at the NCCA course when I got the samples say that you could use ultimate master as a prespray but that was way back in May and I've had so much to take in since then. I always Prevac all my carpets and upholstery as I think this is good standard practice and was intending to agitate the prespray on this suite too. I have a prochem tampico upholstery brush. I take it that this will be ok for the job.

Arthur, I have an aquintance that is a partner in a Lothian and Borders estate agency. I have it on very good authority Tranent and Dunbar are the second largest growing domestic housing areas in Scotland at the moment !!! My market is Domestic homes  ;D
