A WINDOW CLEANER APPROACHED ME THE OTHER DAY AND ASKED IF I WANTED TO BUY HIS WORK OFF HIM FOR £85.00 WHICH I AGREED , I AM PAYING HIM TODAY. ITS A RELUCTANT SALE , AS THIS WINDOW CLEANER IS MOVING TO ANOTHER AREA. THE WORK INVOLVES A FULL STREET IN A VILLAGE I ALLREADY WORK IN,WHERE I CLEAN ON A MONTHLY BASIS. THE WORK HE IS SELLING IS BUNGALOW'S AND HOUSES [COUNCIL TYPE] THE WORK AMOUNTS TO £165.00 FOR A DAY AN HALF WORK; IVE MADE 2 CONTRACTS FOR US TO SIGN (1 each) AND WE ARE GOING ROUND ALL THE CUSTOMERS TODAY FOR HIM TO INTRODUCE ME ,AT THE SAME TIME I WILL BE GIVEING THEM MY CARDS, AS THERE NEW WINDOW CLEANER..............DOES ANY BODY THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA OR BAD ? PLEASE I WOULD LOVE YOUR COMMENT'S. :)

It does seem a little under priced but hey if it looks legit and everybody on the round is ok then go for it, maybe the guy has never bought or sold work before so has no idea on actual cost.
Just make sure you are happy with the cost per house clean as he may have under priced them which is why he wants rid as he has more work and not moving.
Good luck, let us know how you get on

Well I went to look at the jobs and they are not bad at all, 10 bungalows @ 2 medium size windows front and back, which are £5.00 ea ; but the only sad thing is, theres about 15 houses all at £5 and £6.00 ea when infact they should be £8.00 ea ???. But what I will do is wait untill after christmas 2007 then slighty increase those underpriced ones. but i'll give credit to this guy who sold the jobs he as only been doing window cleaning 12 months; where ive been doing it 23 yrs. so i'm more experienced at priceing , allso thought i'd add theres a medium size house at £20 and a pub at £ 20 aswell that came with the sale. So my round's bigger now and it saves a lot off knocking dogs barking and people saying "Ive allready got awindow cleaner thank you" >:( Robert

Well done mate, sounds like your onto a winner, if push comes to shove you could drop any underpriced if they wont take the increase, and still be in pocket.

Shame on you Easyclean! I know you don't really mean it though. :)
The introduction to his customers is the main thing - that's what usually seals the deal.
