Egg on face, I am totaly gutted. Just been out collecting and have had customer
just cancel because he is uphappy with the standard of top window sills.
Accepted his concern and agreed to terminate my service.
This is the first time I have lost a customer since window cleaning for 3 yrs
and means a lot to me.
So need some ideas or help on here, I know that the brush cannot remove
all the dirt from the top window sill due to the angle of the brush.
I see Gardners do a sill brush but this will mean more time changing brushes.
Any tips would be appreciated as I do not want to loose another customer
over this issue.
I know we cannot please everyone, not even the misses ;D, but need to solve
this one.
Cheers

Omnipole do a
Window and sill brush.
The curved design of this brushes body and bristles lets you clean the glass, window frames and window sills.
But its £48

Thanks John,
Same brush on Gardners £25, only prob is sills pick up a lot of dirt so
would not be too happy using same brush for sills and windows.
Cheers

I do exactly the same any cob webs or anything thing else on the brush i just flick my hand over the bristles to remove, never had any complaints and sills allways come up good.

you could always devise a telescopic pole with a scrim on the end to wipe the sills after cleaning the windows.
just a thought!
perhaps wrap a scrim around a small brush

I think any customer whose tedious enough to drop you for not cleaning their sills with a WFP would eventually find another anal reason to get rid of you.
Down-stairs sills we always clean though.

We had a similar problem when we first started. A customer mentioned that we hadn’t managed to clean the top sills properly. We were using a fixed aluminium goose neck at the time. After changing to the plastic adjustable goose neck everything turned out ok!
This might be a possible solution - depending on what type of goose neck you are currently using. :-\
