I've never heard of these guys, has anyone else?
I thought the idea of a franchise was that it would be a well know name?

its what you do isnt it?

No Alan,
I rent out quality work for a small commission. I do my best to provide the lads renting from me however much work they want. But I don't interfere in how they do it.
A typical franchise is where you give them an initial fee of a few grand for which you get back a van and a bit of marketing. They then take a cut of whatever profits you make. Most franchises don't actually give you the work, they give you a 'territory' in which to find work and then they take a cut of that. People buy into franchises for the support of a well know established, tried and tested formula or brand.
Unless they are a household name (which I don't think they are) you're not likely to get much work through brand association though.
I provide work, not "territory".

what a con - franchising window cleaning, are they going to actually backup their frachisees? What if it all goes pearshaped, are they going to replace that wcers work immediately -impossible. As for paying them a %age - again that stinks, who is going to admit to them that they have picked up extra work via word of mouth or were asked on the street. I'm always wary of these setups.
