Hi,
When you all do your accounts do you just put the day and value of cleans against it?
Thinking about getting accounts upto date, I started by putting everyones address down for every day but it seems really long winded.
Any ideas / suggestions please

I just keep a daily total. By far the best idea if you are getting to this stage is to consider a George system.
Not only does it keep you organised with your round it does all your accounts for you as well. So at the end of the year you just print off a report and give it to the accountant.
The only failing with George is that the expenses part of the accounts are not really detailed enough so I keep those separately.

Showing a daily total is fine for your accountant. However, if you are ever the subject of an Inland Revenue investigation, you will need to show individual transactions. You are supposed to keep records of those individual transactions for 7 years (6 + the current one). I still have mine going back to 1991 but I'm a hoarder :) . Better check with your accountant in case the above has changed without me being aware of it.

The less detail you show the higher your accountants bill will be.
Keep as much information as you can otherwise your accounts bill will be extremely high!
