Post by: vangaurd on August 09, 2006, 12:23:06 pm
i have just won a small office cleaning contract with a big building company
main guy has said he would consider me for cleaning over 300 houses they intend to build this year
is this a bit of a result i ask myself?

Check the terms of payment as builders can be the worst payers

I hate builders cleans never worked so hard in my life. always promised that the power would be on, all trades would be finished etc etc. Were they ever....NO!!!!!!  Be very careful of carrying these out.  If you want to do it you will also need to be registered through the CIS scheme.

They can be good but like I said be prepared for the pit falls.  However I never had any problems regarding payments with my builder contact.

Regards

Darren

Have to jump on the band wagon and suggest you avoid it like the pague. Not only that but if you work

alone you couldnt cover that amount of houses anyway. unless they give you one a day for the whole

year and thats not going to happen. Best, Dave.
