if they tilt inwards i dont do them, all my customers know if the window is open i will not touch it, it is up t them to make sure i can clean. I do not discount either.

I clean them.  If you look at their design, they don't allow the water into the house.

Just don't do the frames.  I usually don't anyway.

I'm the same as Tosh and clean the pane only.

The windows are designed not to let water in if they are left open.

Providing the draining point in the frame isn't blocked you should be ok.

I've had no complaints yet

Just clean with care!

Turn down the pressure and avoid the frames.

If the open windows are of the tilt and turn type then the best advice is to leave them because IF their window leaks they'll try to claim off you for damaged carpets, wallpaper, etc, etc. It's not worth the hassle if they can't be bothered to remember to close their windows if they know you are coming. The customer won't thank-you personally for cleaning their open window (through thoughtless ignorance on their part), BUT they will be on the phone to you and will have left countless messages on your answer machine if you bugger up their carpet or laminate floor, etc. My saying is: 'If it's open, sod them'!

I check if anyone is at home first so I can get them closed, if not I just give them a quick clean, if its the type that open outwards I just push them closed like macc says.
