What's the best coarse of action,had a client who's wife was ill they went on holiday when thay were due back the cleaner turned up to do the job they were not back so i rang to find out what happend was told they will be intouch as the wife as got worse that was a month ago. so should i just accept that's a lost client or write to them stating as not heard from them I take that they no longer need our services and thank them for using us.

The above seems the right way to go,as it looks professional and will also leave you a door open just in case they need it again in the future.

I will go down that way of writing to them, I was unsure at first as the wife has a brain tumour, not sure if the worse as happend
