Good afternoon all
I have been asked to clean a curtain at the local curry house. It is pinned to the rail with usual indian restaurant finesse! The issue is that it has a black water mark on it. I can't take it down because I will not be able to put it back right. Any ideas on getting the mark out. If I can do something he will let me in on his carpet cleaning (this is a big restaurant), so the carrot has been dangled.
I do not do curtains as a rule so any help would be very much apreciated.
Regards
Tim

From what i read, watermarking is one of the hardest stains to shift, it may be a case of binning it. You would need to tell us the type of fabric you are talking about befire anyone could give you advice, id suggest that if you do get it clean have a blower on it while you are cleaning so that it drys evenly avioding further watermarks.

What colour is the curtain and what is the material - does it have a pile? Are you sure it's a water mark? Is it on the lining at the back or the material on the front?
To be honest you'd be lucky to remove it. Maybe use Sta White to lighten it and blower to dry as quickly as possible, trouble is you'll probably end up with more marks. Hot dry cleaning is the best way to avoid that.

The curtain is a lined curtain, The fabric is smooth & has a sheen to it (green pattern), the lining on the back is white.
I was thinking of buying a Alltec Sahara for curtains as I am being asked more & more to clean curtains. Is this the best bet or is there something better to clean curtains in situ
