Title: Di vessel on Ro system.
Post by: JandS on February 09, 2026, 04:28:57 pm
Noticed water pooling on top of Di vessel usually about an hour after filling via Ro/Di......also noticed slow filling times just lately but put it down to weather.....day off today so decided to fill just through Ro and bypassing Di vessel as a test.....it's filling faster and coming out at 0ppm straight from Ro.....anybody else had this?......tap TDS today was 90ppm........also how do I get the bit fitted to the cap of the Di vessel off to see where the water is escaping, the part the riser pushes into.

I have been wfp 20 years. After the first year I gave up using a di vessel and just use water direct from ro. As long as your product water is in single figures IMO using a di vessel and faffing about with resin is unnecessary.

Just surprised it's coming out at 0 ppm......used two tds meters to double check......bet I haven't changed the resin in nearly 2 years....when I looked at the resin today it was still that golden yellow.......any idea how the thing in the Di vessel cap comes out?

If your input water is 90, it is not like the ro has to work hard.
