Title: Hot Water Systems drawing fuel..
Post by: anderclean on January 26, 2026, 10:23:23 pm
Guy's with diesel hot water systems, do some of you take fuel directly from your vans fuel tank ?

I know most have jerry cans or something similar in the back of van,
I'm unable to get someone who can 'successfully' draw fuel from my van tank, for my diesel hot water system
Had a few failed attempts..

Grippatank fit this as standard.

Small fuel pump underneath the van, tapped into your fuel tank, and it feeds off it that way.

I'm the same, best thing Grippatank has done for me when fitting the system. Give Oliver a call at Grippatank but he is very busy so may need to wait a month or two.

Grippatank cut into the return fuel lines on my van and they had to be replaced they couldn’t or wouldn’t  fit a standpipe into the tank never did get a reason why , I got the standpipe fitted by a local Wabasto specialist, I think dazmond had similar with them they cut into a fuel line and either the heater or the van wouldn’t start ?
