Usually read the Daily Mail in bed but had to do with The Scottish Daily Mail last night. Not sure what the difference is.
Anyway, there was a 2 page spread about a guy who lost his £100k job in advertising and his wife was coming up with ideas about other jobs he could do. She told him he could be a window cleaner and he went mad. Then she went on to say "when I heard how much the window cleaner at our holiday home earns (£50 an hour) and all you need is a mop and a bucket".
Thank heavens no one really understands the window cleaning business or instead of too much work and few cleaners the opposite would happen. 😉

Yes, it’s a good job nobody writes on a public forum about trousering a ton in an hours work.
Whatever that is.
-
It’s in the daily mail so it must be true..

Not many trad cleaners will be on £50 per hour with their mop and bucket!

I would be more worried about owning to reading The Daily Mail on a public forum (or a private forum for that matter).

The hate mail ad it’s called in London
Original owner, Lord, whatever was convinced the Germans were poisoning his custard

Aye, they would need to be working in the same area with hundreds of houses. There is a new estate just opening up next to me and I have 4 houses at the moment and hoping for more, if so then my business will grow exponentially.

"he went mad"
Presumably because he felt window cleaning was beneath him? . I would wish him luck finding another job but it would be very insincere of me. Perhaps if he takes his head out of his own arse it might help.

Oh yeh because 40 hours scrubbing glass in all weathers is comparable to sitting on your arse all day looking at a computer. ???

If there only doing the glass then I think you'd be very suprised at how much they can rock up in an hour.
