Title: Controller issues
Post by: liphook on August 24, 2025, 09:00:23 pm
Hi

I have an old “the cleaning warehouse” digital controller, the orange faced one. It’s been sat in my bits and bobs box for years and I wanted to use it again, but can’t seem to work it out.

I connected the red and black to battery and blue and brown to pump. The pump runs straight away, even though the controller isn’t turned on!

The controller turns on but doesn’t change speed of pump.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Hi

From the description its likely that a some point the controller has been miss connected and this caused a short in the power circuit of control. This short would make the control permanent live and as soon as the battery is connected the pump will be driven at full speed. Can I ask is this a V11 model which would have only three buttons

If it is  V11. Options would be to send it back to Spring (Europe) Ltd who may be able to fit a New PCB at a cost  or Buy a new V16

Drop me an email if you want to arrange to send it back for inspection

Cheers

Yes it’s the 3 button version. It’s a good few years old now. How much would a new pcb cost?

It will in part depend on the condition of the enclosure and if that can be reused. By the time shipping and Vat is taken into account probably not much less that a new V16.

Also need to allow 2 - 3 weeks including shipping time

My advise is just get a new V16. It will have a superior spec to the old V11.
