Title: Sky Vac poles not fir for purpose

Hi guys and Gals,
Has anyone else found that SKY VAC poles are absoutley poop!  5 broken in 18 months! WTF.

Its it the expensive carbon fibre ones?

Sounds like misuse to me we have broken 2 in around 6 years, they are delicate compared to aluminium ones but provided you don’t abuse them they are fine

I found out I have to spray ends with WD40 before fitting together, if not, I find them hard to come apart. I bought a half size one which comes in handy in tight spaces.

You should not be putting WD40 on carbon poles it soaks into them causing swelling and delaminating

PTFE dry lube sprays are ok

I have been using the GVS carbon poles for 6 years....0 broken they are solid....there's a  vid of Darren the owner standing on them and he's a big bloke.
