I have had a quote accepted for a commercial building but they want me to submit my PLI and have asked for RAMS. Can someone give me some pointers to what should be included in the RAMS?…….TIA

If you haven't already got this in place it's worth hiring the services of a health and safety consultant to design and provide you with a bespoke RAMS that going forward you can edit for every customer that asks for this, you'll be able to complete it and send it to your customers so quickly, which will show your professional and proficient. I did this many years ago and it's still doing the business.

There are plenty of templates out there that you can start off with. It's fairly easy really if you know your business well, which I'm sure you do.
I put mine in place very easily and use them regularly for commercial work.
Each risk assessment will be doctored slightly for each contract, and the method statement shouldn't really change much unless you need to adapt as a result of the RA.

RAMS will very much depend on the site you are working on.
Here is an edited RAMS and method statement we did back in 2015 for our local leisure centre. I updated it in 2017 and eventually made some further adjustments. We cleaned the insides from 6am and finished at around 10:30am, but due to customers using the swimming pool we came back at night to clean that area when the pool was closed for cleaning.

I got so bored of writing these that I now just have a few bullet points describing the cleaning process and that’s it.
Maybe a a few risks thrown in with answers.
Never had an issue.
I used to make them really professional and long. Wish I’d learned sooner that 90% of companies don’t actually care about the quality of the RAMS. They just want the tick box exercise done.
