I was going through to the back of a property, as I went around the corner I spotted someone through the corner of my eye. I looked over and said 'Hi how's it going?'. I quickly realised it was me, a mirror attached to the side of the shed. Oh no.
Customers even noticed from their kitchen window and were howling in laughter. 😂😂
So any embarrassing moments for you?

I got to a house the other week and there was a pole stood up against the wall & i thought, "I got a pole like that!". It was actually my pole and I'd put it there about 10 minutes earlier.
I've also pulled up in a road & seen a van lettered just like mine & thought, " wow, that looks just like my van". It was actually my other van which is identical with my employee working from it.
I thought it was just me that did poop like that lol. I feel better now.

Many years back I was working one morning and stepped over a very low fence instead of opening the gate - don't judge me it was easier. Unfortunately, I didn't see the steel gate stop buried in the grass, tripped on it, dropped all my tools and fell flat on my face. I got up and was sure no-one had seen me so tried to play it cool and just carried on as if nothing had happened.
I went back the same evening to collect the money and did the exact same thing again. I felt like a right idiot. I knocked at the door hoping as I had that morning that no-one had seen me, and the first thing the customer said was 'I hope you don't want paying for the acrobatics as well.' - I didn't tell him I'd done the same thing that morning.

Back in my ladder days, as i was descending the ladder, my stomach started grumbling loudly and i knew something was brewing. The further i came down ,the more obvious it became that i had a fart ready and loaded. Part of the perks of this job is that working alone and outside gives you is that you can get away with the odd burp or fart (c'mon, we've all done it). I gave a quick glance left and right thinking coast was clear, let it rip, (at a much louder rate of decibels than i had expected.), only to find a lady stood at the bottom of the ladder patiently waiting to pay me. I was mortified. To make matters worse, it would have been pretty much head height when the explosion happened. It was one of those awkward situations and i awaited her response. She chose to ignore the fact she heard it, so i chose to ignore the fact i delivered it.

When I first did wfp I put my trip hazard cones out even on domestic property if I was taking the pole out of sight and leaving a fair amount of hose in the garden.
I placed a cone on a corner between the wall and the customer's fishpond.
I came round to do the lower windows and cleaned one of them. Stepped back and tripped over my own sign into the fishpond.
Ended up with one arm, one leg and most of one side soaked in pond water.
No fish were injured fortunately!

Old man S - whatever you do don't put your bucket at the bottom of your ladder. You'll end up.......

Queue to first house, first window when I place the bucket at the bottom of the ladder. On completion of my first ever window I promptly stick my boot in it.

I've joined a rather big club without knowing it existed. ;D

Nothing worse than just about to post a note through a letter box and the door opens.
Just dont know what to do
